My interest in chickens started a few years ago. To my surprise, they are amazing creatures. Chickens are very intelligent; they miss you when you’re gone and let the world know when they’ve laid an egg. The inspiration for this book came from living among and observing the daily life of Road Island Reds.

Other things about me: I think life is beautiful and full of colorful possibilities. Naturally, I’m a person who gives of myself. Individuals with special needs are dear to me and have a special place in my heart. These individuals have taught me to be in the moment, to always try my best, and to wake up with joy. This is the heartfelt message I share in this book and write into all my stories: “Never give up!”
